I'm Georgia Lynette, I am a developing freelance photographer living in Melbourne, and this is a pensieve for my photographs, words, ideas and my creations. please leave my photo's be unless you credit me.
Today I completed my pre-employment course! so it’s time to get my party pants on! next week I have work experience and then hopefully will be put straight on for work!
I havn’t posted much in a while. I havn’t had much time to do anything worth contributing. I am having the best time here, I can definitely call this place a home thanks to my gorgeous boyfriend Jordon and lovely friend Tom, they have made me feel so welcome and been so accommodating, I feel so lucky.
So it’s an obvious thing that I have a boyfriend now, no I did not tell anyone, it just happened, and I couldn’t be more happy :) we have been friends for about five or six years, who’d of thought ^_^ He makes me feel like I am worth something, now, not in the future, not sometimes, just now. And his happiness is so infectious, I find myself in a position I havn’t been in for such a long time, around constant positivity and encouragement. He is a lovely human. Okay so I got the corny stuff out of the way..This weekend we are going to be up to shenanigans which will definitely involve the ol’ Nikon D700, so keen to get shooting!
In other news I have an interview with Chance Waters coming up soon on This Life so keep your eyes peeled!
Also, my arm is still bruised and it’s been about 4 weeks now..

Gender isn’t simply a biological trait; it’s a societal one. The female experience is different from that of the male, and if, as a male writer, you cannot accept that basic premise, then you will never, ever, be able to write women well. A man walking alone through Midtown Manhattan at three in the morning may have concerns for his safety, but I promise you, it’s a very different experience for a woman taking the same walk, and it’s different again for a man wearing a dress. Think about it. That’s a societal factor, and it’s a gendered one, and this is not and can not be subject to debate. If you’re looking to argue that sexism is a thing of the past, that the world is gender-blind, you’re not only wrong, you’re lying to yourself.
